Why every AI output needs a named approver

AMZ Labs · · 4 min read

The fastest way to lose trust in AI at work is one wrong email to a client. The fix is not to avoid AI. It is to design the system so that a person decides what leaves the building.

Our principle is simple: AI recommends, people decide. In every agent system we build, a named person approves each output before it is posted, filed or sent to a client.

Why a named person, not just "a review step"

A generic review queue becomes a rubber stamp. When an output has a specific approver, with their name on the decision, it gets read properly. It also gives the firm a clear audit trail of who approved what and when.

Agents still save the time

Approval does not cancel out the benefit. Reviewing a drafted tax computation, a categorised ledger or a client reminder takes minutes. Producing it from scratch takes hours. The agent does the preparation; the professional applies judgement.

Where approval gates go

  • Anything sent to a client: queries, reminders, reports
  • Anything filed: tax computations, statutory documents
  • Anything published: social posts and marketing content
  • Any action that is hard to undo

The same idea runs through our products

TalentFoundry Perform follows the same rule: nothing writes to an employee record until a human explicitly approves it. Whether it is HR, accounting or marketing, AI should make people faster and better informed, not replace their accountability.
